Also regarding the Midlands scene that Blue Whale bloggers blab about: you may think there is one, but a scene only works when a) there is a loyal and interested audience that isn't 99% scenesters trying to be seen in the right place rather than enjoying the music and b) just because middle class twats in Kings Heath and Moseley say it is 'happening' doesn't make it so. I much preferred the audience at the GBH gig at the Adam and Eve than the pricks who listened to Malpas at the Rainbow an hour before, but talked all the way through Is I Cinema... have some respect and spend more time on music than hair dye-gel-brushes.
