elementary recordings
Made in the Black Country
Either by design or fate, we at elementary recordings find ourselves as outsider-observers. We are generally excluded because we do not conform, and are usually disliked because we are passionate, we are real and we can easily spot fakes. The music industry is 99% fakers and they generally do very well, until they come into contact with us. They are easy to spot by the way, as they talk more about money than music.
We make music first. Anything else is a bonus. Ultimately we will be satisfied as our ambitions are about self-expression and sharing, not about taking.
"For several years I have been on the edge of every scene:
a stranger in my town.
And even though they say hello, they would not be seen with me,
I guess they've never known." INDIAN
Thank you for visiting us.
Our heroes are Ed Wood, Tony Hancock, Anthony Wilson, Tom Phillips, Alice Guy, Adrian Thaws, John Lydon, Chris Sievey and Graham Fellows.
When the radio and television do not inspire you, we will be here... always.
